Adoption

Adoption is the legal process of giving permanent guardianship and full family rights to another family who become the legal parents of your child. It is a legal arrangment and binding.

Within the option of adoption there are decisions to make.

The possibilities exist now that allows a woman to communicate her wishes and requests in regards to the type of adoptive family she would like for her child.

While adoption is not an easy decision it can be a positive option when you aren’t ready to be a parent but you:

  • Don’t want an abortion
  • Want to provide your child with a 2-parent family
  • Want to provide your child with emotional and financial stability

In today’s adoptions, you can keep in contact with your child and be a part of your child’s life if you want to. You can have the peace of knowing your child is loved and cared for by the couple you choose.

You can also opt to maintain a disconnection from the adoptive process and choose not to have any access to your child.

Questions you might be asking yourself may include:

  • how can I give up my child?
  • how can I carry this child for 9 months without letting anyone know?

Adoption laws vary from state to state. Perhaps like most people, you don’t know much about adoption.
